Our Mission

We believe in the versatile purebred dog. A dog we are happy to show, work with, hunt over and share our home with. We are a small home based dog hobbyist in Western New York and have been showing and working Curly Coated Retrievers since 2001 and Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 2007. 

History

Born into a family of dog trainers and kennel owners, Eva grew up training and being trained by Labrador Retrievers. On the side she attended dog shows with friends and competed in Junior Handling.

When Eva was in her Junior year of College at Cornell University she talked to her mom, Mary Fowler about getting a puppy. It just so happened that Mary was puppy testing a very promising litter of Curly Coated Retrievers. Eva requested a black male puppy and so she ended up with a liver female. Moxie went on to be a dog that took Eva places including a  historical Group 1st win, making her the first liver female CCR to do so.

Moxie is the foundation of Flyway Curlies and produced some beautiful and talented kids.

 After years of showing a single breed of dog, it was clear that we could diversify and expand our "flock" to include a special breed which always has had a special place in our heart- the Rhodesian Ridgeback.

Eli and his half brother Virgil joined us from a prestigious kennel and lineage (Ivy League) known for being breeders of healthy, beautiful dogs with fantastic temperaments.
